Yoga for Your Pelvic Floor

Join Casie Danenhauer, DPT for a workshop exploring the pelvic floor and women's empowerment. Through this immersion you'll learn how to enhance your pelvic health and general wellness through mindful movement, yoga and practices aimed to connect with the nervous system. The first portion of the workshop will include a discussion of the anatomy, function, and energetic components of the pelvis/pelvic floor.  Discussion will include common issues relating to the pelvic floor including:

  • painful intercourse or other sexual difficulties

  • pregnancy, childbirth, and post-natal concerns

  • painful periods

  • pain with sitting

  • bowel or bladder difficulties

  • feeling disconnected from your body

  • feeling unsafe or unsupported in your life

Casie will then lead a gentle yoga class focused on incorporating core and pelvic floor awareness throughout the flow.  Class will end with a guided meditation and time for discussion or questions.  Come explore how mindful awareness, breathing techniques, and gentle movement can improve your connection to your core and pelvic floor and enhance your life.  Class is for vagina-owners only in an effort to create a safe place for learning and sharing.
